So, as many of you know. Rusty and I have started a podcast called DM a Dentist. So, why did we start the podcast and what is the goal of the podcast?
I mean everyone and their mother seems to have a podcast out these days. So, let's dive into DM a Dentist and get to the facts.
Dose of Dental -> Dm a Dentist
Dose of Dental is our website where we host blogs and other content related to dentistry. Through Dose of Dental we have created a podcast i.e DM a Dentist. We love writing blog posts answering common questions and trying to breakdown some of the barriers to dental care.
But, we wanted something more personal and that is where DM a Dentist was born. Although our voices were being heard through our writing, we were not feeling the connection to our readers. With the podcast, the connection is greater and we are able to connect with people all over the world. It is actually really cool!
So what is DM a Dentist?
The goal of the podcast is essentially what the name implies. We want to answer your direct messages (DMs) and make dental care more approachable. That is the jist. Dentistry needs to be humanized - we aren't the dentists of your childhood. We hear the fears and anxieties all too often and wanted to create a space for positive dialogue.
The basic idea is a podcast to answer common dental questions and provide free dental knowledge with some laughs along the way.
When do you post new episodes?
We try to post once a week on Wednesdays (but this summer has been a BUSY one). We are almost through out first season (check it out here!) and will be taking a short break as we move into our new studio space. We will start back with season 2 late november /early December. It really depends on the construction at the studio. We are super excited!
We can't wait to show you the new space!
How do you submit questions?
The best way is through our website! We have a button on the top right of the home page that says "Submit DM Here!". Another way to reach out to us is to DM us on instagram.
We typically drive the podcast content around the DMs we receive.
So, if you got back through season 1 you will see topics and episodes that are tailored to questions we received from people like you!
